Intermediate Pilates 1

You need to login or register to bookmark/favorite this content.

Even as pilates exercises become more complex, I still love to start each workout with a warm up. During the first of a three-part series for those with experience of pilates, I’ll use all the basic principles to teach more challenging exercises. I like to ‘layer’ my workouts to feel as though you are encouraging your body to go from strength to strength throughout the class.

Hi Jess, Could you recommend an order to do the workouts in so I can see progression. I feel like I am in between beginners and intermediate. thanks Sally :)

Hi Sally! Thanks for getting in touch. How long do you like to spend for each workout? Do you have any props such as a band or balls or do you prefer the mat only classes? Jess :)

‘Pete’s Pilates’ is a great place to start to refresh the basics and as a warm up if you’re exercising earlier in the day. ‘Flowing Mat’ is a longer, mat workout perfect if you have a little more time. ‘Playing Out Pilates’ is slightly more challenging and good fun to add to your routine. Try these 3 for a couple of weeks (just once a week for each of them) and let me know how you get on! Jess x
